Puppy Obedience
Group classes offer an opportunity for you and your puppy to learn in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Please don't worry that you and your dog wont be good at the exercises. Each person and puppy will have different abilities and everyone will progress at different rates. We are there to help you achieve success.
The below steps will be covered in class -
- Come when called
- ‘Sit’, ‘down’, ‘stand’
- Walk on loose lead
- Stay
- Meeting other puppies
- Greeting humans appropriately
- Getting used to being handled
- How to play with your puppy
Open to all breeds aged 6 months and under.
All pups will receive a certificate and a rosette for attending.
Classes are 1 hour long and the course cost is £135 for the 6 week block.
Please note classes will resume Spring 2025
Pet Gundog Foundations
Gundog training provides a controlled method of stimulating your dog's mind together with the interaction they need to be most satisfied. It is entirely up to you how far you would like to progress. Classes are open to any dog breed from the age of 6 months onwards. No matter how old your dog is it is never too late to start and have fun with your dog.
For courses beyond the Foundation course it is recommended dogs have an enthusiasm for retrieving and can be off lead for short periods of time.
The Foundation course provides an opportunity to establish the basic skill set required for moving onto more complex training exercises.
The course will include:
Developing Focus
Walking to heel
Sit - Stay
Wait
Recall to the handler
Introduction to retrieving
Introduction to whistle work
Introduction to hunting (treats)
An optional assessment is available at the end of the course.
All dogs will receive a certificate and a rosette for attending.
